Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber: Pitted Against Zac Efron-Vanessa Hudgens Duo?

Move over Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens as another young pair of stars are introduced in the limelight. The undoubtly successful individual careers of Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been proven. This time, the possibility of the duo toppling the High School Musical couple is seen as a possibility.

This idea stems from the report of TMZ saying that the two teenagers are in fact dating. TMZ even got a picture of the two leaving an IHOP in Philadelphia. They were captured in close proximity with each other and unmistakably, pictured as a couple. The personnel at IHOP confirmed that Gomez and Bieber felt really comfortable together. Accordingly, they held hands and were sitted together on the same side of the booth.

Earlier, Bieber was also linked with another singer in the person of Jasmine Villegas. They were even captured kissing in the back of a vehicle. Meanwhile, whether or not Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are really together, the possibility of a rival couple for Efron and Hudgens is particularly high.

Hudgens, Efron not hosting ‘X-Factor’

A representative for Vanessa Hudgens has dismissed reports the actress will host upcoming U.S. talent show The X Factor with her longterm boyfriend Zac Efron.

Music mogul Simon Cowell is currently making plans to take his hit U.K. TV series stateside and was said to have asked the High School Musical sweethearts to front the revamped programme.

But a spokesperson for Hudgens insists the actress has no plans to take on any TV work in the foreseeable future, telling GossipCop.com the reports are “not true”.

Jet-Setting Vanessa Hudgens: "The X Factor" Host?

Readying up for an outbound flight, Vanessa Hudgens was spotted arriving at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, California on Sunday evening (December 5).

Looking to be battling chapped lips, the “Sucker Punch” actress strolled into the terminal keeping warm with a winter scarf before disappearing past the security checkpoint.

The jet-setting adventure comes amidst reports claiming that Miss Hudgens and boyfriend Zac Efron are being courted to be hosts of the US version of “The X Factor”.

Apparently, Simon Cowell has decided having Dermot O’Leary on the show would make for too many Brits – which has switched his focus to Zanessa.

A source said, “There could only be Simon and an absolute maximum of one other Brit on the show. He wants that Brit to be Cheryl [Cole]. Dermot will be completely distraught. He spent months in America lobbying to get this job. He held out a lot of hope. But he can’t compete with Zac and Vanessa. They are two of the biggest stars in the States and will make American X Factor the biggest show in the world.”

And while this is Cowell’s desire, it’s still up in the air, as the insider added, “They are more popular than Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie with under-30s in America. They’re in huge demand and would have to turn down a lot of work in order to do this.”

After an opening date move and a new poster, we finally get a new trailer for Vanessa Hudgens‘ upcoming flick, Beastly!

The full summary:

Kendra accepts, and, true to form, Kyle blows her off in a particularly savage fashion.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens commit PDA crimes in Hawaii, we’re okay with it!

Public displays of affection are usually unacceptable. They make those of us who are single feel gross and lonely. Also depending on the degree of affection publicly displayed, they occasionally make us nauseated, which really gets in the way when we’re trying to eat our gross lonely feelings by way of a solo frozen yogurt trip.

There are only two exceptions to the no-PDA rule.

1. If you are Taylor Swift. We’re fascinated by your love life because next year we’re going to be singing along to it in our car on our way to the fro-yo shop (alone).

2. If you are Zac Efron and/or Vanessa Hudgens.

Why are Zefron and Baby V exempt from PDA-related scorn? Because they give us hope that true love exists outside of Disney fairy tales. (We’re going to pointedly ignore the fact that technically, they kind of are a Disney fairy tale.)

Zac Efron is likely at the peak of his hotness. He’s moved past that “High School Musical” baby-faced thing and has found himself a nice little niche in the movie world, with indie cred (“Me and Orson Welles”) and the occasional tearjerker which requires him to take off his wetsuit in front of a camera for no apparent reason (“Charlie St. Cloud”). Pretty soon Justin Bieber will, tragically, usurp Efron’s throne, but for now, he’s riding the crest of heartthrobbery.

So, technically, now would be the time to dump his longtime girlfriend to sow his wild oats or whatever. Yet, Efron remains committed to his “High School” sweetheart come hell, high water, or unfortunate leaked photographs.

We like that. It gives us something to smile about. So go forth and PDA your hearts out, Zanessa. We’ll just be here, watching creepily thanks to TMZ’s Hawaiian photogs and our regrettable abundance of free time.
