Press Conference in Mexico City



We only ever seem to see her frolicking on the beach on in steamy public clinches with Austin lately but Vanessa Hudgens’ recent appearance proves she isn’t just a lady of leisure. The actress – who is best known for her role as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical series – stepped out in Mexico today to promote her new project.

The 23-year-old joined Journey 2: The Mysterious Island filmmaker, Brad Peyton, plus co-stars Luiz Guzman, Josh Hutcherson and wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as they prepared for a press conference in Mexico City.

While she plays a casual action girl in the mythical 3D movie, Hudgens went all-out glamorous for her photocall on Friday.

The brunette tied back her locks and showed off her shoulders in an asymmetric navy blue Grecian-style maxi gown. With floral detail on one side, the starlet added a touch of Hawaii to her outfit, aptly so as filming took place in eight different locations on the island.

Although she was unusually covering up, the curvaceous bombshell – who often wears belly-baring ensembles – emphasised her shape with a tie feature at the waist of her frock. Vanessa – who is never shy when it comes to public displays of affection – leaned forward at one point to blow her adoring audience a kiss.

Journey 2 goes to Mexico City



Vanessa Hudgens squeezes herself between Josh Hutcherson and Dwayne Johnson at the photocall for their new flick, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island held at the Hotel St. Regis on Friday (January 27) in Mexico City.

The 23-year-old actress wore a gorgeous navy gown to the event where her on-screen father Luis Guzman also joined them.

A wardrobe malfunction in Hawaii



Vanessa Hudgens was spotted having a wardrobe malfunction with her hot bikini top in sunny Hawaii on January 25. Recently, Vanessa Hudgens was spotted out and about on the Maui, Hawaii beach to show off her hot bikini body. However, this time, she was all by her lonesome and the paparazzi cams

According to sources, V was seen frolicking at the beach and at one point, she accidentally popped off her top. Then, quickly covered herself back up and smiled at the nearby pap cams that were on the scene to capture it.

Anyway, she seems to have fun before the malfunction. V looks like having an impromptu photoshoot because of her gorgeous wavy hair and her colorful lifesaver stuff while having a sip on her drink.

V and Josh admit dating while filming Journey 2



MANILA, Philippines — The lead actors of ”Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” Josh Hutcherson and Vanessa Hudgens were forced to admit their dating past during an interview with an Australian “Today” morning show, thehuffingtonpost.com reported Jan. 17.

Hutcherson and Fil-Am Hudgens shot each other an awkward glance after they were asked about their romantic past. The interview felt off particularly because the former “High School Musical” star is now publicly dating actor Austin Butler. Online reports about the situation called the moment “cringe-worthy” for both actors who obviously searched each other for the right words to say.

After the brief uncomfortable silence, Hutcherson managed to answer: “We’re not [dating now]. We were at one point, but she broke my heart. No, I’m just kidding. That was a while ago. We’re really good friends now.”

From edgier film forays (“Bandslam,” “Sucker Punch”), Hudgens now returned to a more wholesome part via “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island,” the sequel to 2008’s blockbuster “Journey to the Center of the Earth.”

Hudgens plays island girl Kailani in the action-adventure. “[My character] kind of gets sucked into this adventure against her will, but through Sean (Hutcherson) she opens up her heart because she’s really ruled by her head,” she said in an e-mailed statement from the movie’s local distributor Warner Bros. Pictures.

While they were filming the New Line Cinema offering, Hutcherson said Hudgens kept singing and dancing off camera. He revealed, “She’s always dancing,” to which Hudgens supplied, “And singing.”

Being the only girl in the main cast that also includes Dwayne Johnson and Michael Caine, Hudgens took it upon herself to look after her co-stars. “So, it’s my job to look out for the boys. It’s awesome. I mean everybody’s so amazing. I really get along with the guys.”

Off-screen romance translated to on-screen rapport for the young actors despite the opposite characters they play.

“Kailani is tough because she has to be. She looks after her father. She’s also very outspoken,” said Hudgens.

“Sean is a dreamer and Kailani is far more practical. He wants her to get into the spirit of this great quest but she’s just focused on the risks,” told Hutcherson.

“Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” opens across the Philippines on Thursday, February 2 in IMAX 3D, Digital 3D and regular cinemas.
