Vanessa Hudgens has recently wrapped filming a gritty role as a pregnant teenager in a movie, Gimme Shelter. So it was clearly a good moment for Vanessa Hudgens to take some valuable time out to unwind on holiday in Hawaii. The 22-year-old star looked happy and relaxed as she stepped out in a patterned bikini top and grey short shorts on the tropical island of Maui last week. Wearing a pair of flip flops, the star went scuba diving and boating in the popular holiday destination where she is said to be attending a yoga retreat. Sources say, “She has been working out, eating healthy and relaxing and seems very at peace and happy.” The star’s hair also looks to have grown after she cut it short for the Gimme Shelter role, resembling a chin length bob rather than her more severe soccer mom crop. “Oh man, it’s really intense, I’m still getting used to it”, she told Access Hollywood about the hair style. “Honestly, I kind of feel a bit like a soccer mom, but we’re going to let that go. There’s nothing wrong with soccer moms, but I’m only 22! I miss my hair believe me, I do. But there’s nothing I can do about it.” The day out also saw her energetically feeding birds by hand as her boat pulled into the dock. Vanessa Anne Hudgens made her screen debut in the 2003 drama film Thirteen as Noel. She next starred in the 2004 science-fiction-adventure film Thunderbirds. Hudgens' most prominent role was as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical series. She earned critical acclaim for her role as Sa5m in the 2009 film Bandslam. Hudgens' debut album V was released on September 26, 2006. The album entered the Billboard 200 at number twenty four, and was later certified Gold. Hudgens released her second album, Identified, on July 1, 2008 in the U.S. After HSM, Vanessa branched out and played as Lindy in Beastly and Blondie in Sucker Punch. V went back to her theater roots and played the role of Mimi in the theater show, Rent. Vanessa's upcoming movies are Journey 2: The Mysterious Island where she plays Kailani alongside Josh Hutcherson, Gimme Shelter as Apple alongside Brendan Fraser, Frozen Ground as Cindy alongside Nicolas Cage and John Cusack, Spring Breakers alongside Selena Gomez and Emma Roberts. Vanessa is also the new Candie's Girl.

Why do you love Vanessa Hudgens?

She is my role model. HSM were like my only childhood memory. I was never hooked by Harry Potter, Lord of Rings, Star Wars, Teletubbies (?) ... I knew they existed but looked interesting to me. I don't even know that Teletubbies(?) existed until now that I am 16! I'll be honest. I'm more hooked with Zanessa than Vanessa alone. Even though they broke up I am still rooting for them. I am addicted to those two! Have you seen them look at each other? I sound hysterical. :p But really, it was the day that I believed that true love is still alive. They’re like my priority. Stalkerish? I don’t know. HAHAHA!
