Vanessa Hudgens` draining role led to comfort eating |

High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens found the drama scenes in her new film so draining she turned to comfort eating. The actress plays Blondie in new fantasy movie Sucker Punch but said shooting the film was much tougher than she expected. To cope with the stress, Vanessa turned to food. Hudgens told Total Film: ‘Some of the scenes were really intense. I haven’t done that much heavy drama before and some scenes were just so draining. ‘We would all be a total disaster afterwards and cheat on our diets together and eat cake to comfort ourselves.’ Although one thing the 22-year-old did enjoy about shooting the flick was getting to play a ‘badass’. She said: ‘My character was a lot of fun. I really get to step up my game and be a total badass.’ |

Vanessa Anne Hudgens made her screen debut in the 2003 drama film Thirteen as Noel. She next starred in the 2004 science-fiction-adventure film Thunderbirds. Hudgens' most prominent role was as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical series. She earned critical acclaim for her role as Sa5m in the 2009 film Bandslam. Hudgens' debut album V was released on September 26, 2006. The album entered the Billboard 200 at number twenty four, and was later certified Gold. Hudgens released her second album, Identified, on July 1, 2008 in the U.S. After HSM, Vanessa branched out and played as Lindy in Beastly and Blondie in Sucker Punch. V went back to her theater roots and played the role of Mimi in the theater show, Rent. Vanessa's upcoming movies are Journey 2: The Mysterious Island where she plays Kailani alongside Josh Hutcherson, Gimme Shelter as Apple alongside Brendan Fraser, Frozen Ground as Cindy alongside Nicolas Cage and John Cusack, Spring Breakers alongside Selena Gomez and Emma Roberts. Vanessa is also the new Candie's Girl.
