Vanessa Hudgens ‘unsure of HSM return’ |

Vanessa Hudgens has expressed uncertainty over whether she would be willing to reprise her role of Gabriella for another High School Musical sequel. The actress told USA Today that she has come to view the Disney film series as a representation of the highs and lows of her adolescence. “There were ups and downs,” Hudgens said. “I look at it as my childhood. After I finished the last High School Musical, I was like, ‘Time to grow up’.” She continued: “I love musicals, and I’m always singing. I’m open to doing Glee. But would I go back to High School Musical? I don’t know.” Hudgens starred in the first High School Musical television movie when she was just 16 years old and later returned for both a further television instalment and 2008′s feature-film adaptation. She will next appear in Beastly, which is released on March 4 in US cinemas. |

Vanessa Anne Hudgens made her screen debut in the 2003 drama film Thirteen as Noel. She next starred in the 2004 science-fiction-adventure film Thunderbirds. Hudgens' most prominent role was as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical series. She earned critical acclaim for her role as Sa5m in the 2009 film Bandslam. Hudgens' debut album V was released on September 26, 2006. The album entered the Billboard 200 at number twenty four, and was later certified Gold. Hudgens released her second album, Identified, on July 1, 2008 in the U.S. After HSM, Vanessa branched out and played as Lindy in Beastly and Blondie in Sucker Punch. V went back to her theater roots and played the role of Mimi in the theater show, Rent. Vanessa's upcoming movies are Journey 2: The Mysterious Island where she plays Kailani alongside Josh Hutcherson, Gimme Shelter as Apple alongside Brendan Fraser, Frozen Ground as Cindy alongside Nicolas Cage and John Cusack, Spring Breakers alongside Selena Gomez and Emma Roberts. Vanessa is also the new Candie's Girl.
